Construction of the JPK Nomad40 plug

The construction of JPK Composites' first motorboat, the JPK Nomad 40, has begun!

The hull plug that will be used to make the production mould is soon to be coated.

All of the CNC-cut stations were aligned, then the whole thing was lathing and is now covered with souplex (bendable plywood).

Shimming and stratification are on the agenda for the coming weeks, as is the shaping of the bow.

It is really exciting to see the birth of the shape in full scale: knife-edge water entries, progressive V, redan, inverted sheer, flared planking ... the hull in reverse is impressive!
